USDT TRC-20 Payments: Questions and Answers
Answers about TRON network fees, exact amounts, payment expiry, refunds, wallet reuse and Dedyx beta API access.
Does Dedyx hold my money?
No. The customer sends USDT directly to your TRON address. Dedyx observes the transfer and notifies your backend. Private keys and control over funds remain with you.
Which asset and network are supported?
USDT on TRON using TRC-20. A payment sent on another network is not a supported transfer for this checkout. Always check the asset, network and receiving address before sending.
Who pays the TRON network fee?
The sender’s wallet handles the network fee separately. It must support the required TRON resources or TRX fee. The receiving address must receive exactly the USDT amount shown on the page. Dedyx does not set the network fee; confirm it in your wallet.
What if the amount is smaller or larger?
A mismatching transfer is recorded for reconciliation and the order continues waiting for the exact amount while pending. Multiple partial transfers are not automatically summed. Contact the merchant; Dedyx does not automatically return funds.
What happens when the timer expires?
The default sending window is 30 minutes. Then CHECKING lasts 10 more minutes to detect a timely transfer; do not send funds during this period. A transfer to a terminal EXPIRED/CANCELED order does not automatically confirm it. If you already sent funds, contact the merchant with the transaction information.
I paid in time, but the page shows expired. Why?
Blockchain provider or scanner delays can postpone discovery. During CHECKING, an exact unambiguous transfer timestamped inside the original sending window can still confirm automatically. After the 10-minute verification period, or after cancellation, it requires reconciliation. A timer or expired page does not prove that no transfer occurred.
Who handles refunds and disputes?
The merchant handles refunds and customer support. Dedyx cannot move funds from the merchant wallet. Canceling a checkout does not reverse a blockchain transfer.
Can I reuse one wallet address?
Yes. Concurrent orders on one address must have distinct exact amounts; an unfinished PENDING/CHECKING/REVIEW order reserves its amount. Once it completes, that amount can be reused. An old customer’s repeated exact transfer within a new order’s window can match the new order; use separate addresses if you need stronger attribution. Read the reuse limits.
When should my backend deliver the product?
After verifying the signed PAID event, matching it to your saved order and amount, and recording the event ID atomically with fulfilment. Never rely on the browser page, a screenshot or description for authorization. Verify webhooks.
Can I send a payment link to somebody else?
Anyone with the link can view the public payment details and pay the exact amount. Do not put personal information in the order description or publish payment links in public channels. The link is not a receipt and does not divide the amount among several transfers.
How does beta access and quota work?
Apply through API access. Approved merchants receive an allocated total creation quota. Successful new payment creations use quota; status reads, webhooks and idempotent replays do not. Rate limits are separate. Standard beta is 30 days from explicit activation after confirmed credential receipt, 100 new payments in total and at most 10 per UTC day. Check your actual dates, remaining quotas and creation permission with GET /api/v1/merchant/limits. Individual conditions may differ. Expiry, exhausted quota or a creation pause blocks only new payments; existing checks, status reads and webhook delivery continue. Legacy accounts keep their previous conditions until explicitly moved to beta.
Can Dedyx charge subscriptions automatically?
No. Your backend can create a new payment page for each manual renewal. Dedyx does not perform recurring wallet debits.
For API setup, start with Quickstart. For an order or refund, contact the merchant. For integration access, contact Dedyx support.
